Spending nearly half the day grooming might seem like a charmed life, but too much attention to coiffing might be a sign of a bigger problem for your cat. If your pet seems to be licking more than usual, check her for fleas, lice, hair loss, or skin irritation. If this doesn't provide any clues, contact your veterinarian, and be sure to mention any recent changes to your cat's living situation or environment -- she may be licking as a way to soothe stress or anxiety.
